Pinewood Derby
The boys design a car from a 7” block of wood. The cars race to the finish.
All derby kits can be purchased at a pack/den meeting, Andy Thornal’s, or on-line.
Our Pack Pinewood Derby is scheduled for Saturday, January 14th, from 1pm - 4pm, in the Chain of Lakes Elementary Cafeteria!
Registration for the Pack 515 Pinewood Derby, for all divisions, will be from 11:00 – 12:45. If you miss registration, you missed the opportunity to race. Don't be late. Racing will begin promptly at 1:00 pm.
Pack 515 Pinewood Derby Rules - A Scout is trustworthy. A great time should be had building your own car!
Here is a website with lots of easy templates for pinewood derby cars. You can just tape it to the side of the block...trace the pattern...then cut it out.
Eat lunch before you come. You might want to bring some snacks and/or drinks for your family.
The winners then go to the District Pinewood Derby and if they place there, move on to the Council Pinewood Derby.
