Pack 515 Camping
Plans are in place for Pack 515’s Fall 2010 Campout at Oscar Sherer State Park. It is located a few miles SE of Myakka River and has A LOT of fun stuff to do. It has received many praises from parents within our Pack as one the best campsites Florida has to offer.
DATES: Friday, October 22 - Sunday, October 24
**This is an ideal weekend because Polk County students will have a teacher holiday on Friday, Oct 22nd!!!
FEES:
- $26.00 per site (2 tents max/8 people per site max). Group up and save money!!!
- $10 Craft Fee per Scout/sibling – optional

PLEASE EMAIL ALYSON HOOKER (afsunole@tampabay.rr.com) AS SOON AS YOU RESERVE YOUR SITE. Please include your campsite number, your name, your child’s name, and name of the Den they will be in this Fall (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos 1, or Webelos 2).

If you can’t join us for camping, please consider joining us on Saturday, Oct 23rd, for the daily activities!!! There is a $5 per vehicle entrance fee.
Camping is the activity the boys look forward to the most during the year. Pack 515 offers several different camping experiences.
Pack Family Camping: We will have atleast 2 different three day two night campouts at a state or county park. The boys learn alot to prepare for Boy Scouts. The whole family will have a great time.
Cub World: A three day two night camping experience at Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation (BSA campground located in Lake Wales). The Cub-o-Ree is the largest camping trip of the year because it offers overnight group camping for every Pack in our Lake Region district . The cost is typically $25.00 per person for the entire weekend. A meal ticket is also available for purchase. (This is highly recommended.) The campout is a full schedule of events for the Scouts geared toward earning cub scout awards. They can participate in archery , BB gun shooting, and fishing; a real treat for the boys!
